Information from the cover or publisher
If you would like to know more about alternative methods to treat and heal small animals, this book will set you on the right path.

In this comprehensive guide, you will discover how small pets - including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, fish and birds - can benefit from homoeopathic remedies. There is essential information about the principles and practice of homoeopathy, as well as grounded guidance for owners, breeders and veterinary surgeons.

Helpful advice is given on getting started with the remedies, on homoeopathic first ad and on treating specific diseases. Many fascinating case studies show how homoeopathy can make an important contribution to the wellbeing of small animals.

Christopher Day is a qualified vet who runs a natural medicine referral centre in Oxfordshire, UK. He has successfully treated all types of animals with homoeopathic medicine, including horses, farm animals, zoo and wild animals of many types. He is Veterinary Dean to the Faculty of Homoeopathy and Honorary Secretary of the British Association of Homoeopathic Veterinary Surgeons.

"Mr. Day's book is of immense value and at all times interesting and understandable."
Richard Allport, Cat World

Commentary
The first modern text that went beyond the "therapeutic" approach of the other books and discussed the larger issues of health and disease in the homeopathic context. Day provides some interesting models of the workings of homeopathy and for the selection of the potency.

The models that Day has hypothesized are contained in the first 37 pages of the book and should be read by all interested in homeopathy, not just those interested in the veterinary application of the art.

This commentary is reprinted from The Heritage of Homoeopathic Literature with permission of the author Julian Winston
