Information from the cover or publisher
Autopathy (sometimes also autoisopathy) is a special and little-known method of holistic healing which has developed out of the two-hundred-year tradition of homeopathy. In essence it consists of using homeopathically highly diluted secretions from the body of the person who is being healed (in this book saliva). Although references to autopathy exist in specialist literature they are fragmentary and sparse. Nevertheless, they invariably point to positive results. Until now, however, no comprehensive article in the specialist press, let alone a publication, has appeared in English, German or any other language, as is evident from sources such as the homeopathic software Reference Works (containing many homeopathic books and thousands of pages of homeopathic articles) or the Internet. It is a secret thirteenth chamber which is only entered rarely and with caution. Why? Because it goes beyond homeopathy and represents a new method - a continuation of homeopathy by other means. It does not seek a similar remedy (a so-called similimum), which constitutes the basis of homeopathy. It does not involve the use of any homeopathic medicines. It does not even use any of the homeopath's basic diagnostic aids, such as the materia medica and the repertorium or special software. Autopathic healing and self-healing are relatively easy to master, requiring a knowledge of a few, relatively uncomplicated principles. Not only is it gentle, it is also effective.

Autopathy involves an even closer spiritual resonance ( same cures same) than that for a similar medicine (like cures like), the practical consequences of which can be seen in the treatment of chronic and acute illnesses as well as in prevention and improving people's general health.

The book provides a history of the discipline, how it developed out of homeopathy and how it shares much of the philosophy and methodology of the mother discipline, particularly with regard to the choice of dilution - potency, repeating the dose of the autopathic preparation etc. It concludes that while autopathy is a continuation of homeopathy in a philosophical and methodological sense, it represents an advance of a new quality.

It does away with many of homeopathy's drawbacks, such as the complex and sometimes fruitless search for the right medicine; it was also effective in cases where homeopathy had failed.

The book gives a precise description of the methodology used in autopathy, bearing in mind not only homeopaths but also the layperson and those whose knowledge of alternative healing is rather vague.

Drawing on the author's experience of many treated cases, the book profiles this remarkable method for dealing with chronic complaints, and records its outstanding results. There are about twenty case histories involving long-term, chronic ailments and illnesses which have been wholly cured or markedly improved by autopathy. Most of the cases described had been treated previously without success, often over many years, by practitioners using traditional methods or subsequently also homeopathy and other alternative approaches. All the case histories come from the author's own practice.

A major contribution to the subject is the method for the reliable production of an authopathic, highly diluted preparation in the home. The preparation can be produced by anyone, in household conditions, using their own saliva and just a few litres of water. The book provides detailed instructions on how to produce the preparation. Readers of the Czech edition have given accounts of the excellent results obtained from self-healing conducted according to the book. A special glass instrument - professional aid known as the Autopathic Bottle can also be used to produce the preparation in the home.

The principles and details of undertaking autopathic self-healing without a consultant are contained in a separate chapter of the book.

Readers of the successful Czech and German edition have praised the book's readability, its spiritual philosophical framework incorporating the method into New Age currents, and its practical benefits for their own lives.

The book's German translation was published in August 2004 by Windpferd, Aitrang, Germany. References to this book are in the article " Autopathy - an Unknown Area of Homeopathy", published in Homeopathic Links, Summer 2/2006, Sonntag Verlag, Stuttgart.
